Peter Pilotto SS13
This collection was a case of 'more is more'. Intricate embellishments of beadwork and mirrors. Mixing of fabric, texture, pattern and scale. Layering, pleats, ruffles, cut-outs, slits and varying hem lengths. Everything was going on here but clever design made it all work. All photos property of Fashion Filtered Ltd.

Julien MacDonald SS13
I met the charismatic and very down to earth Julien MacDonald on Saturday at his Old Burlington Street Boutique to view his SS13 collection. He was doing one on one appointments which meant I got the chance to check out his craftsmanship up close as he talked about the inspiration behind the collection and the reason for the lavish techniques and detailing employed. Julien was inspired by the femme fatale, Sharon Stone, in Basic Instinct, chic, sexy and dressed to kill. Every piece was named after an exotic or luxury location where he envisaged the woman wearing the dress would find herself... at a beach soirée in Bali or on a boat in the Mediterranean... All the designing and construction is done in the UK and all of the sequins and embellishment have been designed by the man himself, you will not find this detailing anywhere else. Markus Lupfer SS13
Yet more sparkle was present at the Markus Lupfer SS13 Presentation at the Vinyl Factory on Friday night. It was a really fun and young feeling collection with baby greys, blue and pink cashmeres playing second fiddle to bold sequinned designs and full on silver metallic blocking. The models were like space age, futuristic teenagers from another planet. Despite being so in-your-face everything was totally wearable, hero pieces that you will wear well into future seasons. Marios Schwab SS13
Who knew fringed shoes were sexy? It appears Marios Schwab knew, sexy in a primal, animal way, like a cat swishing its tail, at the same time powerful and assertive. This set the scene for the collection, pretty pleats but in leather, floaty sheer chiffons toughened up with leather armoured belts complete with Roman soldier horse hair fringing. Femininity shone through via the sparkle of glitter, sequins and pretty sheer and black lace cycling shorts. All photos property of Fashion Filtered Ltd.
Jonathan Saunders SS13
Jonathan Saunders showed last night at the Tate Modern, as I approached the entrance all was in eery darkness and everyone was whispering, we had to walk through the great Turbine Hall, murkily lit by a smoky beam of light, to get to the concrete and mirrored cave that was the Tanks Lobby for the show. The catwalk weaved in a triangular shape flanked by concrete benches giving everyone a fair view. The collection was full of deep, saturated colours with touches of summery pastels and a good dose of sequins. I particularly loved a matching cashmere cardi and pencil skirt that was carpeted in blood red sequins on the front and soft charcoal grey on the back, great for contrast style and practicality. Jonathan's signature bold prints were either full on or knocked back and paired with simple basic silhouettes. The shoes were simply perfect, I have a bit of a shoe fetish so had to stop myself just looking at the comfortable yet chic block heeled sandals by Louboutin. Felder Felder SS13
It was a welcome treat to be handed a Bailey's martini whilst waiting to be ushered to ours seats at the Felder Felder show. Once settled and the paps had stopped snapping the celeb turnout the lights went down a side door openend, a silhouette softly walked up the steps to a microphone, then bam! Lights and music blasted and Kate Nash's strong vocals kicked in as the girls marched out. Typical of me I saw the shoes first, chunky, blocky heels trimmed with gold. The whole collection had a luxurious and expensive feel to it, there was a good dose of floaty sheers, ruffle embellishment and of course the Felder Felder print. A real midsummer feel with apricot, sea blue and neutral hues. All photos property of Fashion Filtered Ltd.
William Wilde SS13
I wondered if I was in the right place when I turned up for the William Wilde Show on Friday night, down a seedy soho side street, I was a little early but as soon as a queue of fashionable people started behind me I knew I was in the right place. The Box club in soho, a burlesque feel night club with lavish decorations and dark corners, played host to the William Wilde SS13 show. Complementary Absinthe, Pernod and Champagne cocktails kept us entertained as we waited for the show to start, a treat of latex designs that felt somewhere between Jessica Rabbit, 1940s screen sirens and modern day latex clad pin ups. Despite slashed to the thigh and chest revealing designs William managed to keep it feeling sophisticated, even with a flash of sequined nipple tassels. The gorgeous and very sexy Daisy Lowe led the models in turn to a podium in the middle of the club where they threw shapes under coloured spotlights. All photos property of Fashion Filtered Ltd.
Fashion Monitor / Fashion GPS Style Lounge
The lovely ladies at Fashion Monitor provided a relaxing treat for busy press and stylists this London Fashion Week. A range of beauty treatments were on offer to soothe sore feet and backs, nails in need of attention and make up touch ups from Harrod's Urban Retreat, Essie Nails, Bourjois, Cosmetics à la Carte, and Michael Van Clarke. A great pit stop at London's Mayfair Hotel for drinks, a bite to eat and chilling between shows.
As well as treating us to relaxation from the hustle and bustle of fashion week there were a range of brands to peruse. I tried on this great hat by Rosie Olivia Millinery from her SS13 collection out next year in time for the races and wedding season.
There was a selection of jewellery from Mankinn, really fun and quirky pieces with surprising highstreet price tag.
Innovative shoe brand, Upperstreet, brought along examples of their custom made shoes. For prices starting from just under £200.00 you can customise your own shoe, from heel height to colour to style, there are 4 million variations! They are launching an iPad app in October which could prove dangerous to ones purse!
Bags were on show from Modalu who have updated the popular 'Pippa' bag to a wide variety of colours and finishes. Amongst these were new styles for SS13 including this fetching two tone doctors bag.

Bag yourself some Whistles
You'll have to forgive me for just showing you the bags from the Whistles SS13 collection but everything was so tasty I couldn't put up pictures of it all. I can guarantee that you will love everything from the lazer cut leathers to sports luxe hero pieces and acid brights. You may/ may not know that Whistles have slowly been adding to their bag collection and SS13 will be the biggest collection yet, a winning formula of excellent quality leather, wearable colour schemes and classic finishings. The star piece for me was the robust leather rucksack (bottom photo) which addresses the eternal problem of style over function, this ticks both boxes, I know this is going to sell out. The only negative to this collection is that you'll have to wait, it hits the shops and the website next year...

Superb animated GIF's on annadellorusso.com
Everyone is hot on the animated GIF at the mo, sometimes it can be distracting but when done properly they can be an absolute joy. Anna Dello Russo has recently launched her blog (surely she had one already?! whatev's... you can never have enough) annadellorusso.com which is a wonder to look at. My favourite things here are perfect examples of the animated GIF, just think of the hours of work that went into dressing Anna up in perfect copies of 24 different looks from the SS12 and AW12 runways. GIF's from annadellorusso.com.
AdR: Anna Dello Russo for H&M
Love over the top Italian glamour? Then you will love Anna Dello Russo's accessories collection for H&M. Mainly based around the colours of aqua, coral, green and tons of gold this collection screams fun whilst making a bold statement. H&M collaborations always remain true to the pure essence of the designer involved and the AdR collaboration is most certainly the essence of Anna's over the top and attention grabbing style. If you are a little confused as to how you are going to work these accessories into your wardrobe have a nice sit down and listen to Anna's style tips in her song and music video for the collection (below). I've got my eye on these leather over the knee boots (£179.99). Pieces range from £14.99 for jewellery to £199.99 to boots and are in store and online from 4th October. Expect queues.
